If you are like me, I have a "central" git repository on a computer I backup regularly. On my laptop/desktop I do all my work and make sure to do constant pushes to the "central" repository.
Just thought I would mention that I follow the method listed here to do this. His post is spot on and he gives a really good dissection of what is going on behind the scenes.
